About M&R Tools

How We Started

M&R Tools began in a small garage in North London back in 2008. My brother Raj and I were tired of watching friends and neighbours struggle to find reliable parts for their petrol strimmers and lawnmowers. Big box stores didn't carry the specific carburettors or ignition coils people needed, and online sellers often shipped wrong parts. So we started stocking the essentials ourselves. Word spread fast. Within a year, we moved from that garage to a proper unit in Enfield, and today we ship garden machinery parts across the UK.

What Makes Us Different

We're not a general hardware shop. We focus on brush cutters, multi tools, petrol strimmers, and lawnmowers. That narrow focus means we know these machines inside out. If you tell us your strimmer starts then dies, we can usually tell you it's the fuel filter or a blocked breather. We stock parts for brands like Stihl, Husqvarna, Honda, and Mountfield, and we keep older models in mind too. Not everyone wants to scrap a reliable machine just because a primer bulb cracked.

Here's what you can count on:

  • Same-day dispatch on orders placed before 2pm Monday to Friday
  • Real people answering the phone during business hours
  • Parts diagrams and fitting advice available on request
  • No minimum order, because sometimes you just need one spark plug

Our Team and Values

There are six of us now. Raj handles the workshop and repairs, while I manage orders and customer calls. We've all worked on garden machinery for years, so when you call, you're not talking to a call centre. We treat every order like it's for a neighbour. If we don't have a part, we'll tell you straight and suggest where else to look. We don't upsell. We don't pretend a part fits when it doesn't.

We also care about keeping machines running longer. That's better for your wallet and less waste in landfill. So if a simple gasket or fuel line fixes your lawnmower, we'll help you find it rather than push you toward a new one.
