How We Started

M&R Tools began in a cramped garage in North London back in 2012. My brother Mark and I were tired of driving across the city just to find a replacement sprocket for a petrol strimmer. We figured other people in London had the same problem. So we started stocking the parts we kept needing ourselves — brush cutter blades, trimmer heads, lawnmower air filters, that sort of thing. Word spread fast among local gardeners and groundskeepers. Within two years we moved into a proper unit near Enfield, and now we ship across the whole UK.

What We Actually Do

We're not a general hardware shop. We focus on one thing: keeping petrol-powered garden equipment running. That means brush cutters, multi-tools, strimmers, and lawnmowers. If it has a two-stroke or four-stroke engine and cuts grass, we probably stock the part.

Here's what makes us different:

• Real stock, not dropshipping. Everything listed on the site sits on our shelves. If you order a Walbro carburettor kit at 2pm, it goes out the same day.
• We know the machines. Mark spent fifteen years as a small engine mechanic. When you call, you talk to someone who has stripped down a Stihl FS 460 more times than he can count.
• Honest advice. If a repair isn't worth the money, we'll tell you. We'd rather lose a sale than have you waste £80 on parts for a machine that's had it.
• London delivery that works. Next-day courier across the UK, and same-day dispatch for orders placed before 3pm on weekdays.

The People Behind the Counter

There are six of us now. Mark handles the technical side and runs our workshop. I look after orders and customer service. We've got two pickers, a part-time bookkeeper, and Dave, who does our deliveries around Greater London. Most of us have worked in landscaping or mechanics at some point, so we're not reading from a script when you ask about fuel mix ratios.

What We Care About

We keep things simple. Fair prices, straight answers, and parts that fit. If something goes wrong with an order, we sort it. No runaround, no blaming the courier. That's it, really.
